Meet my new puppy!

This is Finley.

Meet my new beach pup! He loves the sand, eating bananas and playing with sticks! While home from college due to the pandemic, we decided it was finally time to get a new member of the family. Mom and I did a ton of research and went to tons of shelters and pet stores. After meeting a bunch of dogs across the city, we just kept thinking none of them were the right fit. We were about to go home, empty handed, until I saw a little white dog covered in newspaper, belly up in the corner of the last cage. I started rubbing his belly when his eyes opened; my mom told me to just pick him up and see what he does. As soon as he was in my arms my mom noticed his nose was in the shape of a heart. As someone with heart issues, I took this as a clear sign from the universe. I knew this was my pup. We played for about an hour before officially deciding we were going to take this pup home! On the way home we realized my list of names we had for him didn’t fit his personality. We wanted to go with something that reminds us of the beach and landed on Finley, or Fin for short. He is my joy and my best friend. I cannot imagine my life without him. In such dark times, I am so grateful the universe sent this little heart nose puppy to me. Here’s to a lifetime of adventures, Finley!
